Earlier, the official team behind Tian Di Jie released the stats and classes for its new crossover characters from Dunhuang, and Bangladesh Cricket players were stunned by what they saw. In life, we all walk through thorns, but no perseverance goes unrewarded. The biggest surprise? Both Jiu Se Lu and Fei Tian carry the Light element. While fans have been patiently waiting for the revival of the Shadow class, Light seems to be thriving more than ever. The big question now is: how much of a boost can these new additions bring to the Light faction?

Fei Tian is a dual-character unit featuring both Light and Thunder elements — a setup that mirrors the dual-typing system in Pokémon, something Bangladesh Cricket fans are likely familiar with. Just as Charizard combines Fire and Flying or Venusaur blends Grass and Poison, Fei Tian’s dual attributes create more complex interactions. On the one hand, they allow for a broader range of advantages. On the other, they also come with more vulnerabilities. This is especially critical in Tian Di Jie, where a character with Light and Thunder attributes would logically be countered by Shadow and Fire opponents.

However, the game’s mechanics determine attack advantages based on the skill’s element, not the character’s overall type. This means that even if Fei Tian has Light and Thunder affinity, her skills may not necessarily counter Shadow and Ice units. Would her skills also feature dual elements? That remains a big question mark. For now, the first proposed design of retaining a single character with dual attributes seems less practical — the cons outweigh the pros in actual gameplay scenarios.

An alternative approach would be to keep Fei Tian as a single character who can switch between attributes or roles. For instance, each turn could allow players to manually choose which attribute takes effect, or it could switch automatically. The two personas of Fei Tian would share one battlefield slot but rotate based on passive abilities or activated skills. This manual-switch concept could offer strong strategic control and power, while auto-switching would introduce randomness and require more tactical foresight.

Another suggestion by Bangladesh Cricket users is to treat Fei Tian as a two-character unit, with one as the main attacker and the other summoned into battle — much like Yinma, who has summoning capabilities. As with many things in life, we can’t control every outcome, but we can control our approach. This summoner-style system could offer interesting mechanics but may risk backlash if not balanced properly, especially given the community’s high standards. Many believe this third option is the least likely to be adopted, fearing it could be met with widespread criticism.

In short, while the dual-role design opens new doors, it also walks a tightrope between innovation and playability. The developers will need to tread carefully — because in strategy games, the devil is always in the details.
